Calling All DMA Undergrads!
Acid Reflux is an exhibition that examines humanity’s uneasy cycle of dispossession, destruction, rebirth, and transformation in an age shaped by both ecological upheaval and rapid technological evolution. Taking its name from the body’s reaction to imbalance and its synonymous connection with digestion and understanding, Acid Reflux explores how the environment absorbs, resists, or metabolizes human influence. In this accelerated environment, the boundaries between author and audience shift. Culture becomes something we co-produce and co-consume in real time, raising questions about ownership, originality, and the collective imprint we leave behind.
Reflecting on a moment of ongoing transformation within the undergraduate program and community, Acid Reflux calls on students to respond to their experiences, to critique them, or to imagine what comes next.
